Social Media helps businesses to have meaningful conversations with their customers. Relevant social media platforms include Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Youtube, Pinterest, and Snapchat. Each of these different platforms have pros and cons. Facebook can help to connect with the community, boost traffic and sales, as well as find new customers. Twitter is best used as a real-time way for businesses to connect with the community in short, easy to read messages. Linkdin helps to connect businesses to other proffessionals and businesses in their industry. Instagram is a good place for photos and videos and can help promote the culture of the brand. Posting their hours and contact information can help patients to schedule an appointment. Organizational goals should align with social media goals after they perform a social media audit. They should develop objectives and key performance indicators. They should also factor in timing and key dates, incorporate brand voice. They could also come up with a crisis management plan and practice responses. After they gather data to measure the performance on the social media platforms, they can decide if they need to change their strategy at all. However, all of these things are going to look very different than they would at large company. They may not put any money towards social media and they will have less brain power to come up with objectives. This means that they may not be able to measure the success in quantitative data. They may only have one person managing the pages and will have to measure success based on how many interactions they have with the community.
